Because Mindfulness is something far easier to experience than explain, here is a short mindfulness practice for you.
Hi, I am
Sophie
I am a trauma-informed mindfulness teacher with a lifelong passion for teaching which is experiential, dynamic and innovative.
About 14 years ago, I suffered some health issues which weren’t life threatening, but certainly life changing. This made me realise that only focusing on fixing the physical parts of an illness wasn’t enough to regain a meaningful and fulfilling life.
So, if you think that your life has lost its colour, or you feel stressed or anxious or perhaps you feel that you are 'surviving' rather than thriving, then you are in the right place!
I know that I have the knowledge and the skills to help you regain a more peaceful and content life.

I am immensely grateful for their time, courage and trust in me.
I do this because 'it works'
and it has truly changed my life for the better!
Despite the ‘frantic world’ that we are living in at present, practising and teaching Mindfulness has profoundly changed me. It has guided and supported me towards better and stronger general mental health and a more flourishing and fulfilling life.
From my own journey and over my 25 years of teaching experience, I would now like to help you to navigate your way out of dissatisfaction or stress and cultivate a mindful way of being that can also lead to a more balanced and joyful life.
My training
Mindfulness Trained Teacher Certificate (Stage 6)
I have had the privilege of being trained via the teaching and supervision of the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation (OMF). The OMC, within the Department of Psychiatry, University of Oxford, has been at the forefront of mindfulness research and training since 2008 and it continues to be a vital hub for the latest research and work.
I am also ‘trauma sensitive’ trained by David A. Treleaven, founder of TSM® (Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness).
I follow the Good Practice Guidance of BAMBA (British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches). I have an on-going personal practice and engage in regular retreats and professional development training.
MSc in Psychology
I am excited to start this course in May 2024 as it will help me continue to gain a better understanding of the complexities and capabilities of the human mind.
Mindfulness means living in the present moment, by tuning in to our direct experience of bodily sensations, feelings and thoughts with a gentle and non-judgmental curiosity.
Mindfulness is a training of the mind that, with regular practice, will enhance your wellbeing and resilience. Research and studies show that people attending mindfulness courses will experience many benefits such as:
● feeling less stressed, anxious or depressed
● being less self-critical
● reducing rumination of thoughts
● becoming emotionally less reactive
● Increasing general well-being
● More focused, flexible and open
● Becoming more resilient in the midst of everyday life
● Noticing and appreciating more what is pleasant in life
● Living a more meaningful and flourishing life
"I now meditate two or three times a week. Mindfulness is simply exercise for the mind, similar to the way we exercise our muscles when we play sports."
Bill Gates, Co-founder, Microsoft
“In the last 50 years we have seen stepwise improvements in health around the world. Parity of esteem means recognizing that ‘mental health is health.’
In Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy we have an approach that has been demonstrated to prevent depression and enhance mental health. More recent work suggests that it can also support human flourishing. If we’re serious about enhancing mental health in the whole population, we need a public health approach.
We need accessible MBCT, taught by MBCT teachers who are well-trained, who have a clear ethical compass and are committed to enabling the lifelong learning of participants in their classes. Sophie Broyé is all of these and much more: a committed, skilled and compassionate MBCT teacher.”

"I found Sophie to be a very helpful and inspiring teacher. She showed me the importance of accepting my thoughts and emotions and calmly letting them be rather than fixating on them too much.
When I began the course, I was going through a very anxious period in my life and Sophie really helped me develop the tools and skills that I needed to be able to look at situations more wholistically and mindfully [...]
I would recommend Sophie to anyone wanting to learn how to practise mindfulness. She is a very patient, thoughtful and kind teacher."
